Great staff, satisfactory breakfasts, good job!
ideal place for discovering port de sant miguel. enjoyed fruit and croissants for breakfast. moreover, wi fi worked well here.
It was worth its 3 stars. We greatly enjoyed the hotel, its lovely rooms and facilities. The tapas bar was a delightful surprise.
Picturesque location, convenient for beach. Looking forward to a second trip to this hotel after having to cancel earlier in the year due to a family bereavement. Good value for money and variety of good food and drink. Some of the staff are helpful, some could be more welcoming.
We were charged a cancellation fee despite informing staff of my wife’s loss of a family membe, however, decided to return to the hotel as we enjoyed our previous stay and beautiful location. Sunbeds and umbrellas on beach expensive. Due to bad weather across Spain it was necessary to spend time in room, which would have been fine if the rooms did not flood from upstairs balconies soaking our belongings and we had to move furniture. It felt Reception staff were reluctant to move us, however did as we insisted. We were not offered any help. The issues were exactly the same in the new room it became apparent a widespread issue in rooms our side. We had a wet towel sopping up water on. The ledge above the bed and damp grew on the ceilings wiped away by staff daily. The smell of mould was breathtaking, having to keep the patio door opened disturbed by loud music and shouting all night. Other than an apology from the cleaner for the state of the new room we had moved to no other member of staff approached us to apologise. Due to water seating in above the air conditioning unit we dare not use it because of electrics and water danger. I believe the hotel has not acted accordingly to compensate us. Of course nobody can control the weather, however, if you have to stay in your rooms they should be comfortable.
The location of the hotel was great. We considered staying at the Galeon, but it is definitely a little farther away from the beach and main pools/ entertainment that are offered at the Club Cartago and the other sister property. Having said this, we did inspect a room at the Galeon and it was definitely a little bigger than our room at the Club Cartago. Nevertheless, I would still choose Club Cartago based on the location. The food at Club Cartago was also the best of the bunch, with the buffet offering the most variety. The Western Bar at the lower property and the Mexican Corner at the Galeon were both good options for lunch...if you weren't interested in another buffet.Front desk staff were excellent.
As for negatives, the room was a little warm at night. I believe the air conditioning unit was a little on the small side. The elevators were quite small and also a little on the slow side...but this wasn't a deal breaker.I would recommend stayhing on the fourth floor...so that you are only four levels from the top or bottom (in case you decide to walk). Some of the bar staff were not overly friendly, but others were great.
The reception staff were friendly.
Fortunately, we only stayed at the hotel one night. Club Cartago is an all inclusive hotel, but the food both looked and tasted horrible and we could not eat a thing there. We ended up eating all our meals out, thus our stay became much more expensive than we first thought it would be. The pictures of the hotel on your website are misleading, especially those of the pool area, which are actually pictures of the neighbour hotel.
Very nice hotel in fantastic beautiful area, excellent food and service in restaurants and bars. We were 5 persons and all of us liked so much this hotel.
Very good family hotel. Excellent food and fantastic evening entertainments.
The hotel is very isolated from all interesting places, bad bus connections
Staff were friendly and very helpful. Everywhere was clean. Food was fantastic for the price of the hotel with great variety. Location was excellent with lots to do and beach was very pretty. We had a great holiday and would recommend it to others.
Pools were perhaps not big enough for the amount of people in peak season and it was noisy to sleep at times due to the entertainment but you have to expect this in this type of hotel. Air conditioning was very noisy and leaked on balcony. We had no problem walking up 8 flights of stairs for the restaurent or room but if you needed to use the lift due to a disability or needing to use a pushchair it would be a problem at times to use the Hotel Cartago as there are only 2 lifts. This was particularly a problem when one of them broke down!
This was our fourth visit, and once again were very happy with everything
I all liked, particularly-location hotel, service, meal, animism, particularly -zorro!
relaxed family atmosphere and beautiful location
The location of the hotel is in a quiet, beautiful bay. Other places are easily accessible as there is a local bus service. The staff were all friendly and we found most of them went out there way should you need help. The hotel rooms are basic but comfortable and were cleaned daily. Overall I had a very good time and will hopefully be going back next year. We made lots of friends whilst there and most of them are returning next year. Overall really enjoyed the hotel, location, loved Ibiza as it caters for all sorts.
Rooms were good but needed to be slightly bigger. There was no cash machine in the bay so you needed to travel to the next village should you need money. There was no tea making facilities in room and you are not suppose to take drinks back to your room from the bar or restaurants. As I like to be able to sit on the balcony late evening with a drink I would like to have had a choice without having to sneek drinks into my room.
the whole holiday was great - had no complaints about the food rooms service, staff were friendly , pools were fab but enjoyed the beach the best. entertainment team kept us occupied day and night. would go back.
lift system at hotel was very busy at meal times - so getting from the 2nd to the 8th floor where the restaurant is was sometimes frustrating.
Excellant family hotel with an interesting layout of many facilities. The numberous intresting bars were all inviting. The resturaunt overlooking the bay had magnificent views. The food was well presented buffet style service (perfect for us)
One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in, friendly staff, great food, excellent entertainment, perfect for families or any age group
